Don’t worry about technique, just do the exercise the best you can.  You don’t need a actual javelin, but anything that resemble a javelin, like a long stick, PVC pipe, or a long bar. I would use a PVC pipe because i done it before, and it works. Plus, it’s super light, super cheap to get in the stores, and is safe. Using your left arm, throw the PVC pipe as far as you can, without forcing the throw. I say, not forcing the throw, because putting an unstable force on your arm can injure you. After you get use to it, you can throw the Javelin at a target from a distance that you feel is short, medium and long. Keep doing this exercise until you feel any tiredness with your left arm. Put in mind, safety is always first, and i would make sure no one is in the way when through a long object, as that can hurt or pierce through people. With a PVC pipe, it can’t piece through people, but it can hurt if you get hit by one. I would recommend wearing safety glasses as well.

In case you don’t know how to throw a javelin. Stay in one place when doing this exercise, and don’t do what the pros do, with massive technique and momentum. Keep it simple!
